IT Salaries and Career Opportunities Continue to Grow
With the tech unemployment rate continuing at 1.5%, more than 2.5 points lower than the national rate of 5.2%, now is the perfect time to move into an IT career.

From IT support and networking to project management and cybersecurity, opportunities are plentiful throughout the IT industry.
Demand for computer support specialists hit nearly 21,000 in August and is up more than 50% since December of 2020. The number of computer support specialist positions has increased six of the last nine months.
Careers in cybersecurity are experiencing major growth. Job postings for cybersecurity analysts are up more than 40% from July, to more than 19,000. Data analyst demand has risen for the second straight month and now sits at its second highest point this year with more than 8,500 new job postings. With more than 320,000 IT job postings in August, the data suggests it is an ideal time for qualified candidates to launch IT careers throughout the United States.

Not only is there a growing demand for tech workers, but there’s also increasing demand for new skills. More than 1,000 job postings included a need for cloud skills. This is an increase of nearly 6,000 since from July 2021. Demand for IT automation skills has also grown from July to nearly 40,000 in August.
